Tuesday Challenge

Posted in Jacksonbelle Embellishments at 5:09 am

Well it’s been a couple of busy weeks - family took a mini vacation to Eugene to visit our oldest daughter, Courtney and then watch the BSU Broncos play the Oregon Duck - by the way, Broncos kicked some Duck Butt!!! YEA.  Then Scott and I stole an entire day and night to ourselves and went to Florence along the Oregon Coast - gorgeous weather, food….

So I did not have a chance to post for last weeks Jacksonbelle Inkadinkado sketch contest - but here’s the sketch

FRIGHTFUL FRIDAY!!

Posted in Creative Cuts & More, Recent projects at 6:15 pm

A little Frightful Friday!!! I realized I haven’t posted all week - well almost two for that matter.  I really thought once school started for Carly and Scott returned home from his work on the road for five weeks things would settle down. Ummm no, they really expect dinner and unfortunately grilled cheese sandwiches or French dips with deli sliced roast beef every night doesn’t cut it.  We’ve also been working on building a storage shed on the back lot, re-staining the deck, emptying our rented storage unit, organizing the garage (I’ve never been able to park my car in this double car garage), and prepping for Winter - I know it is still a few months away - but the months just seem to fly by.

The other FRIGHT is this cute little die cut “Coffin Box” and “Spooky Spiders” from Creative Cuts & More.  Take a look-see…

4-blog-coffin-box.jpg

4-blog-coffin-box-open.jpg

Sample Details:  Coffin Box is die cut using “Flirty” Bazzill Bling paper (Creative Cuts & More).  Before assembly of the box, I  ran it through my Big Shot with my new “Spider Web” Cuttlebug embossing folder (Provo Craft), then lightly direct-to-paper used some “Charcoal” Fluid Chalk ink to really bring out the embossing and distress the edges.  After assembly of the box using redline tape to hold the seams together, I strategically placed my Tacky Tape (double-sided tape)  spiders and sprinkled them “Beetle Black” Doodlebug Glitter.  Well, that’s spooky enough for today - should have a couple more Halloween projects in the next few days.

Don’t forget about Jacksonbelle Embellishments - Inkadinkado Card Contest -details and this week’s card sketch are here.  Enjoy and Create, Lila

card-contest-1st-week-re-do.jpgEdit note:  I have to admit while I was a little under the gun to get my sample uploaded last night - I wasn’t really please with the main focal image on my card - Sooooo when I got home from work today I tore it apart, restamped using Taken with Teal Craft Ink (SU) and then put some “Silver Bells” and “Aqua Marine” Shimmerz Paints on selected snowflakes and winter flowers…… much better.  Here’s a close up of the Heidi Swapp painted with “Aqua Marine” Shimmerz Paints.  Now, I can Enjoy and Create, Lila
