Super Size That Order!!
Typically I just get really irritated when going for fast food (thank goodness don’t do this too often!!) and they so graciously ask would you like to super size that?? Uh, no! if I wanted that size I would have ordered that size…. but today, I’d definitely take that super sized order!!! You’re probably think…. wth??? Lynda threw out this awesome sketch challenge in the Jacksonbelle Embellishment SCS Forum for the design team and those who wanted to participated -the original is HERE (now I have to admit I chose not to do a square card - I really prefer the typical rectangle but other than that stuck with the design). An additional part of the challenge was to use Prima!!! Well, not only did I do the challenge sketch and use Prima - I pulled out one of the cutest fry box dies from Creative Cuts & More and made it SUPER SIZED!!! Take a look:
Fry Box and Card Details:
Cardstock: “Mars” Stardream Metallic (CC&M)
Ink: Maroon & Rose Coral (Color Box Fluid Chalk)
Pattern Paper: Prima’s New Urban Cosmo Paper Collection (JBE) - now these paper collections are super size themselves and include fry sauce! My pack not only included that gorgeous double sided paper but had matching Prima flowers and ribbons…. yum, yum I love the matching crocheted type ribbon that came with this!!!! I need a whole spool!!!
Accessories and a couple of other details for the samples - on the card I used a Martha Stewart border punch across the top and bottom then distressed with some of the maroon fluid chalk ink. On the FryBox, before I assembled I stamped Inkadinkado Nostalgic flourishes using the fluid chalk inks (be sure to let dry - it takes a couple of extra minutes on the metallic cardstock - but so worth it!!!). On both samples I also used Maya Road chipboard flourishes as the flower stem or vine - both were painted with Tim Holtz’ Distress Crackle Paint - Shabby Shutters. After the cracking then put some Tim Holtz Distressing Walnut Ink on the chipboard and gave a good rubbing.
I hope you enjoyed the project and sketch challenge. Be sure to check out the other design team samples. (Will have to add those links a little later today - gotta get going to the paid job)….. in the meantime - Enjoy and Create, Lila

Wow! I definitely would super-size this order- teeheehee! Actually, I’m with you about when they “offer” to up-size my order- as if it isn’t bad enough for us already! Anyway, back to your project, I love this! The chipboard, the flowers, you choice of PP, the ribbon are all wonderful together. Absolutely gorgeous!

Oh my gosh Lila, your card and fry box are fantastic!!! I used those same papers and our cards are VERY similar!! How funny! I love how you used the orange ribbon. I couldn’t get it to look right on mine and wanted to use it SO badly because it is really beautiful! Your creations have inspired me! Great job!

WOWZA! You really nailed this one, Lila! Both of these are just stunning! My FF box is still flat-now I’m all intimidated! Kinda wish I hadn’t seen this!;) Great idea to use the chalk inks on the Stardream, I haven’t tried that, but I love chalk ink and I love Stardream, so it sounds awesome!
