Blogger’s Challenge Weeks 40 and 41
Well, I’ve been a little missing in action for the last couple weeks. On Easter Sunday, my nephew was on his way to join the rest of the family for dinner and was in a pretty serious motorcycle accident. He’s suffered pretty major injuries to his body but with a strong will and a great deal of physical therapy I believe he will recoup. Fortunately he WAS wearing a helmet, which from the looks of the helmet, probably saved his life or at least the quality he knew. Any way, I’ve had my samples ready just have not had a free moment to photograph and write the post. So as they say “Better late than Never” - here are my posts for Weeks 40 & 41. Week 40 was to make a card with Spring Flowers - since that was also Spring break here you notice the little computer generated reminder on the sentiment/embellishment.
Card Details:
Cardstock: Classic Crest Solar White - Pattern Paper: “Katlin Collection”" (Crate Paper) - Rubber Stamps: “Lined Paper Backgrounder” (Cornish Heritage Farms); “Doodle This” (Stampin Up); Ink: Graphite Black (Brilliance) - Accessories: Heidi Grace heart stick pin, ribbon unknown, circle and scallop die cuts (Nestabilities-Spellbinders), color accents with Spica pens.
This sample was to use the long note sample from Stampin Up’s catalog - page 65. Card Details: Bazzill cardstock; Pattern Paper: “Two Scoops” (Basic Grey); Rubber Stamps: ” U R A Hoot” (Cornish Heritage Farms); Ink: Wasabi (SU) & Noir Pallette (Stewart Superior); Accessories: Copics & Spica pens, ribbon unknow, staples
Now I also had to make this cutest little box to match the card - it’s called a cupcake box and I got mine from Creative Cuts & More (CC&M). You can order your box with lid - already cut and scored, in any paper Terry carries - or you can send your own paper and she will custom cut for a small fee. It also included a little base for the inside to hold the cupcake - you know keeps it from tipping over, and then there is a little piece of acetate included.
The little cup cake box uses all the same materials as the matching card. Take a quick look at the other Blogger Challenges - links on the right sidebar. Enjoy and Create, Lila

Your owl projects are unbelievably cute! I even saw some glimpses during their production… and they turned out even CUTER than what I had imagined. Great work!
And our thoughts are with your nephew… hope he comes out of this with flying colors!
