Bloom Where You’re Planted! BC #37

Posted in Creative Cuts & More, Recent projects at 5:59 am

After not feeling well last week, a little antibiotics, rest and more rest, I finally feel better for stamping and a little blogging. I wanted to share a recent project, and I’m using it for my Blogger’s Challenge Week #37 (where our challenge was to make a card - any shape other than rectangle), using some custom die cut Chatterbox paper from Creative Cuts & More. Now, I think this is about the coolest thing next to sliced bread. I can purchase whatever paper I want to use - send to Creative Cuts & More, they will die cut and mail back to me. Now, for some of you that might seem like a little pain in the butt - but, since fuel costs are over $3.00 gal here in the Boise area and our local scrapbook stores a lacking in a large variety of die cuts (and one of them severely lacks in customer service and I refuse to step foot in the store) AND since I happen to be a pattern paper hoarder…. this was really simple for me. Here’s what I came up with -

Card details - again, Pattern Paper (Chatterbox); cardstock Almond Cream (Bazzill Smoothie); Stamps: “Spiral Bouquet” (Papertrey Ink); Ink: Aegean Blue (VersaMagic); die cut felt flowers, stem and leaves (Orange Spice, cashmere tan & olive felt using Posies Set from CC&M); accessories: buttons (Foofla); taffeta ribbon (SU), sewing machine.

The felt die cuts were also from Creative Cuts & More - I’m telling you - this is the coolest. CC&M choices also include selecting Bazzill Smoothie or Textured papers, velvets, felt, chipboard, acetate, foam, and polyshrink - to to name a few of the materials available - now for the die cuts - that would take a whole post just for itself. Go take a look and browse around. I guarantee you’ll be seeing more 3-D projects from me in the future. Enjoy and Create, Lila
