My Girls - that would be my daughters

Posted in Recent projects at 4:24 am

I’ve had a chance to work on a couple of layouts featuring my daughters. With my last Blogger’s Challenge last week there were some comments and concerns that we wore our cosmetics like the MAC inspiration piece. As you can see we don’t! The inspiration piece is a marketing pic that MAC used to highlight their products. I still think their products and pigments are gorgeous!!!! and if I do say so myself - my daughters are also GORGEOUS!!! Take a look.

Here’s a LO with my beautiful, beautiful girls. I may be a little bias but I think they are gorgeous!!!
This is a 12X12 layout. Pattern papers from Fancy Pants “Sweet Pea: Abigail & Claire”. Fancy Pants acrylic stamp “From the Garden”. Cardstock and half-pearls from Stampin Up. Inks are VersaMagic “Hint of Pesto, Perfect Plumeria, Jumbo Java, Tea Leaves, & Pink Petunia”. Accessories - Ziz Zag Machine stitching - TITLE - hand trimmed from cardstock using cutting knife then shaded with VersaMagic Jumbo Java ink

How about another with the oldest - Courtney???4-blogtaking-the-long-way-around.jpg

12X12 layout of my oldest daughter when she graduated from high school. Us girls love to listen to the Dixie Chicks - the title for this LO of from their album “Taking the Long Way” I wrote some of the lyrics - especially those I felt pertained to Courtney around the edges. Supplies used: Crate Paper “Baby Bee” Collection. Believe it or not there is no ink or rubber stamping. Rub-ons are from Me & My Big Ideas and WeRMemoryKeepers Precious Metal coppered out. Primas from Essentials 2 collection. FoofLa buttons tied with linen thread. Journaling done with Gelistix. I really liked how this turned out and more importantly expresses Courtney’s attitudes and journey through her young life. What a great strong young woman. Much love to you, Mom

Enjoy their beauty, lila

Great pages, Lila! And you hand-trimmed that title? You have way more patience than me! :)

Wow, what pretty layouts and your children are beautiful!

I just wanted to let you know that I’m adding your blog site to my blog that I’m currently creating. I remember when you had given me advise on my “life changing dilemma” a few months back and I really appreciate that you took the time to help me out.

    Maria
