HOT, HOT, HOT!!!
Well, it’ SMOKIN HOT!! here in Southwestern Idaho - literally! and the local news reports we have several, several fires burning within a 150 mile radius and not much sign of relief in sight. We’ve had several days in the high 90 to over 100 degrees temperatures.
In other news, I’m following the Sneak Peaks, Previews, Press Releases and Reviews for CHA Summer 07 and there are some HOT, HOT items coming for us stampers, scrappers, and papercrafters. One of my favorite links for all the new stuff coming out is on Life Time Moments and of course all the attendees that are reporting out. I can’t wait to get some of the new stuff in my hot little hands (I may be broke afterward but I’ll have new stuff!).
This last week one of my favorite and HOT bloggers, Jen del Muro, reached 100K hits on her blog and she had a Giveaway Contest. She asked for comments and the comment was to post a favorite Stampin Up color combo. Well I didn’t win the Giveaway, but it made me take a look at what my favorite color combo is (for the time being). As I mentioned in my post, this is an ever changing response. But right now my favorite SU color combo is Soft Sky, Blue Bayou and Perfect Plum. This was inspired by Deja Views pattern papers in the Fresh Print “Blue Raspberry” line. Now, the following card pairs the “Blue Raspberry” line with one of my favorite new SU stamp sets “Priceless”.
The above samples uses the same color combo and papers along with Fancy Pants “Pollen Dust” stamps, Maya Road chipboard, and Martha Stewart glitter and ribbon.
A couple more HOT topics include Splitcoast Stampers (SCS) birthday bash and the Dare to Get Dirty challenges - starts next Wednesday July 25th through July 31st. Watch for Verve Visual coming on line and announcements with new releases. Well, must go for now but keep checking back every few days. I’ve been working on several items but must wait to share those….. will only have to wait a couple day. Enjoy, lila

You’re absolutely right, that color combination is DELISH!!! Do I spy some of the new SU “Pretties” in the form of half-pearls? It was so nice of you to show them to (read: enable) me!
That glittering Maya Road chipboard is to die-for, and it’s such a nice accent! Love that the glitter matches the color scheme so well. (Speaking of matching glitter, did you see that Doodlebug just released glitters at CHA? YUM!!!)
