So I’m really happy it’s Friday - it’s been a real busy week at the paid job and here at home. Hopefully the weekend will be a relaxing time with just a little house and yard work. I finally was able to get my other card sample for Julee’s card sketch done - it seemed to take forever for the Stickles to dry - especially on the flower center. I put Stickles on a large brad using several layers. The pattern paper is from Daisy Bucket’s “Whimsical Ladies” line which is perfectly paired with Paper Trey Ink’s “Little Lady”. Inks from Versamagic, a little Stickles, and don’t forget the Primas.happy-life4blog.jpg

Also wanted to share a couple more projects I’ve completed lately. This next one was done for Linnecard’s DT weekly challenge - using Doodlebug. I created a little Designer Bag to hold 3X3 notecards and envys. Pattern paper from Doodlebug “Wedding” black and white collection. Inside of bag has white DB paper for the lining. Handle was made using DB paper frills with slim satin ribbon run through handle - attached with brads. Paper Frills wrapped around middle section. Flowers are covered chipboard run through Cuttlebug die and pieced together.

3X3 note card for designer bag. Cardstock from Stampin Up, Caribbean, white, black. Flower is chipboard covered with DB Black Wedding, run through Cuttlebug die, Paper Frills, sentiment from DB rubber stamps.

My last project to share is for a friend who recently lost her mother. I can’t imagine her sorrow - I’m really at a loss for words.

The above card uses SU’s retired “Nature’s Secret” stamp embossed with white EP and watercolored with SU’s new “Soft Sky” blue. SU Soft Sky cardstock and SEI “Morning Meadow” pattern paper. The pattern paper is really lush - it’s more of a velvet - so soft. A little piece of white Doodlebug embossed paper machine stitched and some American Crafts ribbon finish the card.

Hope you can stay cool today - it’s going to be a real HOT one here. Enjoy, Lila

More winners! You did such a lovely job marrying the Paper Trey stamps with the Daisy Bucket papers. Very pretty pairing! :)
