A little Doodlebug
My Linnecard challenge for this week was to use the manufacturer Doodlebug - now, Doodlebug has some of the cutest papers, embellishments and rubber…. oh, what do I do first? Well, my first project was for a little girl who’s turning one. Pretty simple project and matching card. Both were die cut at my local craft store - then I added the Doodlebug embellishments and papers. The card is die cut in a onesie shape, pleated the DB pattern paper and machine stitched to make the collar. A circle punch taken to the pattern paper, then the circle layered on blue cardstock and trimmed with my Provo Craft mini scallop scissors. Final add ons a small white grosgrain ribbon, a couple of tiny buttons for the onesie closure at the bottom (attached a small piece of Velcro to actually hold the “snaps” closed). Rub ons from Doodlebug and MM.
The little pyramid gift box - very simple - Die cut the solid pink at local craft store, ran a small piece through with pattern paper for the top. Taped DB Paperfrills around inside edge for the scallop on the lid. Punched a circle from the pattern paper, tied a little grosgrain knot, attached with glue dot, and a little MM “Sweet” rub on.
A picture of the ensemble together.
I’m ready for a first birthday celebration. Enjoy Lila
