An enjoyable weekend
The weather here was awesome - spent a little time outside doing lawn and garden work - a little housekeeping and then some stamping.
This first card was done using some of the final pieces from Love Elsie - Roxie paper. Selected words were highlighted with PrismaMarkers, stamped image is from Hero Arts and colored with PrismaMarkers. Scalloped edge trimmed with my Provo Craft scissors.
My next samples is one of my favorites I’ve done lately. It uses some new stamps that my bestest friend, Kim, gave me - an entire sheet of Oxford Impressions - already mounted - now that is a true friend. The cage, bird, “Bird” phrase and sentiment were stamped with Pallette Burnt Umber. Coloring done with PrimsaMarkers and blender. Pattern paper is from Basic Gray, Lily Kate. I really liked how the “Bird” medallion turned out - stamped on white, punched with oval, mounted on gold mirror like cardstock and trimmed with my mini scallop Provo Craft scissors.
I really like Provo Craft decorative scissors because I’m left handed. Most scissors, unless they are made specifically for left-handed people, are very challenging for me to use. In order for me to use, say for example, Fiskars, I have to turn them upside down so I can see what I’m cutting and have the edge cut the direction I want…… Provo Craft are meant to be used by either right or left handed people.
So glad the hiccups seem to have been resolved over at Splitcoaststampers. If you haven’t seen the Dirty Dozen Design Team gallery this month you must visit.
Stay tuned have a couple more projects completed, photographed and just need a little editing. Enjoy, Lila

WONDERFUL cards! Of course, I’ve seen the bird card already and still love it! The birdcage image is SO enhanced by your skillful coloring. Such pretty colors on the top card. Yummy! Now I know exactly what I’m going to purchase with this week’s Michael’s coupon: Provo Craft Mini Scallop Scissors! You do such wonderful things with them!

love your blog, and all the neat cards. I’m a lover of designer papers and love the cards you did using the basic grey line of paper. You’re very creative and inspire me to do more as you have done with the creative details and embellishments
