Love her up because one day she will no longer be here. I lost my mom 11 years ago and even though she had more than one favorite perfume, you always knew when she was around because she always smelled so nice. I live in her home now and can still sometimes catch a scent of her. I like to think that she is paying me a visit. We share something in common Lila, my dad also passed away on Memorial Weekend, but he was only 45 and this was 30 years ago. Still hard to this day though nevertheless. My mom was also into Shalimar and my dad always gave it to her as your's did and she too only wore it for special occasions. I still love that smell. My dad too is deceased - he died in 1975 - and my mom has been in a nursing home for the last 12 years. She is 92 and her mind is bad, but she still knows me and her care takers. She & I always talked on weekends like you and your mom - enjoy those talks - they will end way too soon. Even after 12 years I still want to pick up the phone and tell my mom all the events of our lives. Happy Mother's Day!
