Playin Catch Up
It’s been a couple of days since I’ve posted to my blog. Was in the middle of creating my samples for PatStamps next newsletter - oh, wait until you see the techniques for April!!!!
Once I got those done and sent I was able to do a little stampin therapy for me…. I haven’t really done SCS Sketch Challenges but decided I wanted to start. The first sample is from SC #113 - a really simple, yet eye appealing design. the second sample allows me to use either designer patterned paper or handstamped or a combination of both.
Now this next sample is one I love - used the new Basic Grey (at least new to me) paper and my new Stampendous Poppy. Stamped with poppy with Black Stazon onto SU Shimmer paper. Then carefully cutout and painted with my Radiant Pearls. Boy it has been awhile since I pulled those down - had to literally dust of the bin that I store those babies in. Anyway, painted with Radiant Pearls a couple of coats, then took my bone folder and sculpted with petals. This gave the flower the “Pop” I was looking for and put it in the “focus” for the card. I also had a chance to use my new SU notebook punch - wow!!! how simple to line up and use. Must play with this toy a little more.
